My story

After graduating from law school, I worked for a federal judge in the Southern District of California for about 10 years. I assisted the judge with cases that came into federal court, dealing in matters ranging from civil rights and social security disability to intellectual property and environmental law. Though I often thought about starting my own law practice, it wasn’t until a good friend of mine passed away that I finally made that leap. When my friend passed away, I became the executor of his estate, and I hired a trusts and estates attorney to help me with the administration of his trust. The guidance and support I received from this attorney was invaluable during a time when I felt overwhelmed by the responsibility put upon me. What I learned from that experience was that I, as an attorney, could provide that value to someone else and help guide them through making difficult decisions or navigating through a time of uncertainty and upheaval.

I love my practice in trusts and estates because I enjoy getting to know each and every one of my clients, helping them figure out an estate plan that fits with their family and specific situation, and knowing that I have helped give them peace of mind.

I grew up in San Diego and knew I wanted to return after law school to work in the community where I grew up. My family and I enjoy being able to play outdoors year round.

I had been meaning to create a living trust for the last few years and dreaded it. Mylinh made the process seamless and was responsive to my numerous questions. Her follow up was appreciated and I appreciated her ability in working around my schedule and getting such a not-so-pleasant task done with ease. I know I will have some changes in the future and I plan on reaching out to Mylinh again when the time comes.
